Judge Sandra Clinton: Judiciary Representative
Judge Sandra Clinton was born and raised in
Albuquerque, New Mexico. She graduated from Manzano High School and
attended New Mexico State University, where she earned a B.B.A in
Economics. She received her J.D. in 1989 from the University of Utah,
and was an Assistant District Attorney in Bernalillo County from 1989
until 1994. In 1994, Judge Clinton went into private practice focusing
primarily in children’s law, specifically, criminal defense of juvenile
offenders and abuse/neglect cases. In 1999, Judge Clinton was appointed
to the Metropolitan Court, where she presently serves in the criminal
division. Judge Clinton co-chairs the Metropolitan Court Domestic
Violence Committee, which consists of members from the court, jail, law
enforcement, district attorney’s office and public defender’s office.
